Bill Vasilief, founder and former CEO of the Novia Platform and a key voice in the platform market over the past two decades, passed over the weekend, aged 68.
Bill originally founded Selestia in 2001, an innovative platform subsequently bought by Skandia, which in turn became part of Old Mutual.
In 2007 Bill founded Novia, which was bought by AnaCap in 2021, at which point he stepped down from the platform, although remained chairman of Novia Global.
In February this year Bill and Nick Raine, former COO for Novia, took on the roles of chairman and CEO respectively, of the new launch UK financial planning arm of Swedish firm Söderberg & Partners.
Bill is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
