Scopic Research adds 6 funds to Multi Asset DNA Research Service

5 April 2024

Sceptic Research has added Orbis OEIC Global Cautious Fund and five funds in the Schroder Global Multi Asset Portfolio suite to its Multi Asset DNA research service, which currently includes research analysis and DNA graphics covering 127 multi asset portfolios from 18 fund groups.

For funds to be included, Sceptic insist upon having access to key investment decision makers, and all portfolios need to pass rigorous company, manager, and infrastructure and support tests. Importantly, embedded biases and their likely impacts upon patterns of performance also need to be understood and evidenced.

The newly introduced funds and their Scopic outcome categories are as follows:

• Orbis Global Cautious Fund – Long term growth
• Schroder Global Multi Asset Adventurous Portfolio – Long term growth / Volatility corridor
• Schroder Global Multi Asset Growth Portfolio – Long term growth / Volatility corridor
• Schroder Global Multi Asset Balanced Portfolio – Long term growth / Volatility corridor
• Schroder Global Multi Asset Moderately Cautious Portfolio – Long term growth / Volatility corridor
• Schroder Global Multi Asset Cautious Portfolio – Long term growth / Volatility corridor.

Intermediaries can register for free access to the Scopic Research Multi Asset DNA Research Service at www.scopicresearch.co.u

The Multi Asset DNA reports service is available via the website and enables intermediaries to filter the database of DNA reports by using combinations of investment outcomes specifically designed to reflect client needs for different classifications for growth, income delivery, volatility management, likely volatility risk versus broader equity markets, methods for assessing ESG related risks, and investment styles.

The service also includes a qualitative based portfolio blending tool designed to help intermediaries visualise the possible diversification benefits from combining up to four multi-asset funds together, as well as a quarterly sentiment indicator that shows the current direction of sentiment towards a broad range of asset classes as expressed by some of the UK’s leading multi-asset teams.
