Architas rebrands as AXA’s multi-manager team

9 January 2024

Architas has rebranded as AXA IM Select, the multi-management team of AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM).

The new business unit combines the previous Architas and AXA IM’s Unit-Linked (UL) teams. The group said the rebrand “marks the start of a new chapter with the objective to simplify the offering for AXA entities and provide them with a one-stop shop for UL products and services, notably diversified multi-management capabilities, UL oversight, discretionary wealth management and investment advisory services.”

Matthieu André, chief executive officer of AXA IM Select and member of AXA IM’s Management Board said: “This new name is a clear signal that we are now an integral part of AXA IM. Being under the AXA Group brand umbrella will enable us to leverage the global presence and reputation of a worldwide leader in insurance and asset management. It also represents a great opportunity to further accelerate our position as AXA IM’s multi-manager and to grow discretionary wealth management services to our clients in Europe, especially in Belgium and France as well as in Asia, under the AXA IM brand.”

AXA IM Select will continue to have an operationally independent investment team, fund selection and management process, as well as a dedicated distribution and offer teams, with clear walls of separation from AXA IM.

AXA IM now comprises four business units with distinct propositions and expertise to help clients meet their investment needs:
AXA IM Core, which brings together the Fixed Income, Equities, Multi-Asset platforms as well as the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) business;
AXA IM Alts, which provides real estate, infrastructure, alternative credit and natural capital & impact investments;
AXA IM Prime: the Private Markets Enabler and Hedge Funds platform;
AXA IM Select: providing diversified multi-management expertise and a dedicated offer for AXA clients and partners regarding Unit-Linked products and/or investment solutions.
