Scottish Widows Platform now provides Origo’s Unipass Identity solution to enable advisers to securely and seamlessly single-sign-in to the Scottish Widows Platform using their own Unipass credentials.
The addition of Unipass Identity reduces the burden of advisers managing multiple sets of user IDs and passwords. Unipass also decreases the risk of data breaches while enabling advisers to continue to safely interact and access sensitive data on the Scottish Widows Platform.
Scottish Widows said the development was the latest in a series of digital enhancements made to the platform, which includes “vastly improved integration capabilities making the Scottish Widows Platform one of the most ‘connected’ investment platforms on the market for bulk valuations”.
The platform also recently introduced seamless access to a number of suitability and cashflow modelling tools such as Voyant, EVPro, and Origo Unipass Letters of Authority, to help advisers and our customers work more efficiently.
Ross Easton, Scottish Widow’s head of Platform Proposition said the development took place after the platform’s data showed “a significant volume of our support calls were for user ID and password queries.
“With our stated ambition of being ‘the easiest platform to do business with’, and the fact that eight out of 10 UK advisers already have Unipass credentials, it just made sense to offer this option to make advisers’ lives easier. I’m delighted with how quickly we have been able to add this capability.”
