The Verve Group, the umbrella company that incorporates Para-Sols, Apricity, The Grad Scheme and The Art of Finance, is launching its first conference and dedicated awards.
The conference, the first in what is expected to be an annual event, will take place on 3 June 2020, 12.00-18.30, at the Banking hall, Cornhill, London, EC3V 3ND
The theme for the event is Evolution, focussed on how the world of finance has evolved over the past few years, with new initiatives, culture shifts and progress in changing the face of finance.
This pursues The Verve Group’s vision to change the way finance presents itself and is perceived, pushing financial services forward, helping develop it into a profession, understood and acknowledged by other professional services.
The Group aims to highlight the career opportunities in finance, highlighting the many paths and options that are available, to encourage people from all walks of life to choose in financial services as their future.

Dame Helena Morrissey – Financier, campaigner and author
Nick Cann – ex-CEO of the IFP and Stroke campaigner
Neil Moles – MD The Progeny Group
Abbie Knight – marketing and business consultant
Neil Bage – founder/director Be-IQ
The 5 awards categories are:
The Thrive Award – this will highlight a firm or individual that has supported the growth of the financial services profession.
The Attraction Award – celebrating those who have worked to shout about the joys of a career in finance and attract more people into it.
The Engagement Award – which aims to recognise an outstanding team or individual who has developed a creative initiative or project that has taken finance outside of its bubble and put it in the public domain
The Innovation Award – for an individual or team who has found a new ‘thing’ or a new way of doing something that has innovated the profession or their own firm.
The Verve Award – this will be given to the company or individual who has embodied the missions being driven forward by The Verve Group. Those that have regularly gone above and beyond to change the face of finance, to break down stereotypes within the profession and encourage innovative, forward-thinking ideas.
Closing dates for nominations are 17 April 2020. Winners will be announced on 3 June.
