Professional Paraplanner webinars watch on demand & 2020 CPD

2 July 2020

Our webinar series are now firmly underway. This includes webinars for our Investment Committee and Technical Insight Seminars.

While our Technical Insight and Investment Committee Seminars are on hold until larger gatherings are possible, our series of webinars are well under way.

Paraplanners receiving our daily email alerts will have seen the notifications of our recent Investment Committee Webinars from Close Brothers Asset Management and Fidelity International and we have more lined up over the next few weeks.

Also, we are running Technical Insight Webinars for delegates registered to attend our Spring and Summer venues. Our events team is contacting everyone registered for postponed events as the webinars become available.

Do please join us and our technical experts online for these sessions, which usually run for around 45 minutes. Do keep an eye on your email and our website for further information on our webinars.

We will look to run physical events as soon as the rules allow.

• WEBINAR FROM FIDELITY INTERNATIONAL: A HEAVY WORLD

As the profound economic and social implications of Covid-19 continue to play out, in this short and sharp 25-minute presentation Fidelity will discuss the current investment environment, the new economic order and our three long-term investment calls are for the future.

The asset manager believes there will be structural themes that will emerge to set the global economy on a new unique course.

Governments and central banks globally will move towards greater intervention with fiscal activism and increasingly creative monetary policy.

On top of this, Asia as a region is set to benefit from its higher economic growth, stable political regimes and wide scale adoption of technology.

Finding flexible ways to navigate these changes will be crucial to generating robust, risk-adjusted returns in the future.

Learning objectives:

  • Recognise the key structural trends emerging from Covid-19 that will set the global economy on a new course for the rest of 2020 and beyond.
  • Gain an insight into how to navigate this unprecedented investment environment.
  • Understand Fidelity’s three long-term calls for the future and how they will help you find flexible ways to generate robust, risk-adjusted returns.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)

We are pleased to announce that this year Professional Paraplanner is partnering with the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) structured CPD, for our webinars and, when we can once again run them, our lives events around the country.

In January LIBF launched the LIBF Level 4 Diploma in Paraplanning, a practical and blended learning approach, mapped to the paraplanner apprenticeship standard, and developed with input from paraplanners to recognise the skills and knowledge now being demanded of the role.
