Standard Life has launched a new AI coach to help customers navigate the homeownership process.
The new AI tool will sit within Standard Life’s Homebuyer Hub and will provide quick, easy-to-understand answers to questions about buying a home.
Standard Life said the Hub was created in partnership with digital specialists Life Moments “in recognition that people don’t think about their finances in silo”, with people often balancing immediate priorities such as buying a home with longer-term goals such as retirement saving.
Through the AI Coach, customers can explore topics such as affordability, mortgages and deposits, and can add details, including salary or deposit amount, to receive more tailored explanations.
It follows research from the retirement specialist that shows saving for a property is the top priority for people aged 18-30, while managing day-to-day finances remains important across all life stages.
Amy Johnson, head of workplace and retail intermediary proposition at Standard Life, said: “Financial wellbeing means helping people feel confident managing all aspects of their financial lives, from buying a first home to planning for retirement. Many people are balancing competing priorities, and buying a home is one of the most significant financial decisions they will make.
“Our AI Coach makes it easier to access clear, trusted information. It helps people take control of today’s decisions, while building confidence in their longer-term financial future.”
