Pension transfer searches hit 100,000 milestone on Origo’s tracking portal

Advisers have searched for over 100,000 pension transfers on Origo’s Unipass Transfer Tracking portal, less than a year after it was launched as a beta service.

Free for advisers, Unipass Transfer Tracking launched last March allowing advisers to monitor all of their client pension transfers in one place.

Advisers have access to real-time status information on pension transfers via the portal, reducing the need to chase providers and giving clients reassurance about their retirement savings, the firm said.

Anthony Rafferty, CEO of Origo, commented: “The volume of searches on our pension transfer tracking service reflects the demand from advisers for much greater transparency, clearer communication and readily available information during their clients’ transfer journey.

“Pension transfers are in good health more generally, with transfer times continuing to fall despite the volume and values of pension transfers increasing over time.

“Against this backdrop, being able to easily track progress with a pension transfer felt like the one big thing that was missing until now, and it’s clear just how valuable having this level of clarity and information is now becoming for clients.”

Separately, Origo said usage of its Unipass Letter of Authority service has increased thirty-fold as more advisers turn to the firm’s free tools.
