Technology provider Iress has integrated its advice software platform Xplan with cashflow planning software provider CashCalc.
The integration is part of Iress’ new approach, Iress Open, which gives Xplan users direct access to a broad range of third-party applications.
CashCalc, founded by chartered financial planner Ray Adams, allows advisers to create detailed cashflow plans for their clients. In August, the company announced that it had over 12,000 registered account holders and £100bn funds under management.
Other recent integrations through Iress Open include bank account verification, suitability report generation, account aggregation and suitability profiling.
Mark Loosmore (pictured), executive general manager at Iress, said making the right functionality available to its users was “hugely important.”
He commented: “This new integration, delivered through Iress Open, makes it easy for clients to directly choose and permission the third-party applications they need. We’re pleased with the response from a range of clients about Iress Open and this latest integration that can now be accessed.”
Jeanette Hunt, operations manager at Armstrong Watson Financial Planning Limited, added: “We are very impressed with the potential benefits to our business from this type of integration. The CashCalc integration is much more extensive than I anticipated, providing the ability to utilise a large amount of client data already held in Xplan.
“We are very keen to start using this and other integrations Iress has in the pipeline as they become available, a real tick in the box from us.”
