Technical Insight Seminars – Scotland
3 August 2019
In September we will be running back-to-back Technical Insight Seminars in Scotland. The first of the Scottish events takes place in Glasgow on Wed 18 September, immediately followed by the seminar in Edinburgh on Thurs 19 September.
The seminars are paraplanner-only events and free for paraplanners to attend. The seminars will cover areas such as suitability report writing, pension regulation and tax, regulation and compliance, due diligence on SIPP and SSAS, behavioural investing, using centralised investment propositions, and generating income for clients in retirement, amongst others*.
Here is what two of our presenters will be talking about on the day:
Glasgow delegates also will hear from ATEB Consulting, who will be drawing on their considerable experience in the financial advice field to provide insights pertinent to paraplanning. Steve Bailey of ATEB is a regular and popular contributor to the Professional Paraplanner website. Read his latest article here.
Edinburgh attendees can learn from entrepreneurial paraplanner Cathi Harrison about the processes developed by Para-Sols (this year celebrating its 10th anniversary) to deliver quality suitability reports to a deadline.
Here’s what delegates are saying about this year’s events to date:
“The whole structure of the day is well thought out and I think of particular benefit is the break out into smaller groups to encourage greater interaction.”
“The content was superb and I learned a lot from it that I’ll be able to apply day to day.”
“This was a great, well organised event which I thoroughly enjoyed. I think that everybody attending would have learned something new. Well done and I look forward to next year’s event!”
“A really good event, this was my second year and I would come back again. Feel it was well tailored to paraplanners rather than advisers.”
