Sanlam responds to lockdown with free virtual consultation service

12 August 2020

Financial advice firm Sanlam has launched a free virtual consultation service as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sanlam on Demand will offer direct, face-to-face access to Sanlam services via FaceTime, Zoom and Skype offering guidance on topics including planning for retirement, getting finances in order, inheritance planning, protection and investments.

The ‘no-obligation’ consultations will last around 30 minutes and users will be offered a same-day call back with a financial planner or portfolio manager, Sanlam said.

According to John White, CEO, Sanlam Wealth Management, recent events have changed the way people think about finances and their ability to achieve future financial objectives.

White said: “Sanlam on Demand has been developed as a direct result of the ‘new normal’ we all find ourselves in, providing people with direct access to expert financial guidance from the comfort of their own home.

“Giving people face-to-face access to the person managing their money is an important part of our service, and in developing Sanlam on Demand we were determined to retain all the positives of our proposition, but do so in a virtual and socially-distanced manner.”

White added: “In these uncertain times, it is essential people have their finances in order and understand their levels of financial resilience. Sanlam on Demand is designed to provide exactly this, helping people with their financial plan and enabling them to look forward with confidence.”
