Paraplanner Club receives 69 mentoring applications in eight months

12 August 2021

The Paraplanner Club has received 69 applications from paraplanners for mentoring since launch in January 2021.

Founded by Chloe Phillips (left) and Siân Davies Cole, The Paraplanner Club was established to provide paraplanners who require help or guidance with career, work-related or work/life issues, with a mentor who can best provide some help on those issues.

Siân says in the first eight months the most popular themes of conversations have been around gaining promotion, career changes, administrators wanting to be paraplanners, help with qualifications and exams, and self-development. But many more topics have been raised also.

Siân says: “Currently, we have 13 mentors. Paraplanners are able to book mentoring sessions, typically once a month for an hour, to talk through any issues they may have. They are allocated the mentor who can best advise on the questions or issues they have raised.”

All conversations are held in accordance with a signed agreement and are in the strictest confidence. For regulatory reasons, mentors cannot provide advice on individual cases or technical issues.

The application process and the list of mentors can be found on the website: https://www.theparaplannerclub.co.uk

Any paraplanner interested in becoming a mentor should get in touch with Siân or Chloe via the ‘Apply Now’ form on the website.

The Paraplanner Club is sponsored by Professional Paraplanner.
