Nikko Asset Management has been recognised as a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code 2020 for the third year in a row.
Signatory status is assessed annually by the UK’s Financial Reporting Council, looking at a firm’s stewardship policies, processes and outcomes over a 12-month period.
Nikko AM, which first became a signatory in 2022, said its signatory status applies to the global group, demonstrating that its investment management teams in the UK, as well as Japan, Singapore, the US and New Zealand all meet the high standards.
As of July 2024, the Financial Reporting Council recognised 287 signatories representing £50.1 trillion in assets under management, including 196 asset managers.
