EdenTree Investment Management has made changes in the management team of the Managed Income Fund (MIF) to reflect the growth and strategy ambitions of the firm.
Chris Hiorns will be stepping down as the manager of MIF to concentrate on managing EdenTree’s European equities franchise, as well as EdenTree’s Multi-Asset fund range. The new fund management team will be comprised of Gregory Herbert as lead fund manager and Michael Sheehan as co-fund manager.
Herbert joined EdenTree in 2022 from Jupiter Asset Management where he managed European, North American and Global equity income products as well as unconstrained European equity funds. He started his career at State Street Global Advisors and has more than 20 years of experience in the investment management industry.
Sheehan joined EdenTree in 2021 from Aberdeen Standard where he helped to manage the European Investment Grade Credit Funds. He has more than 11 years of industry experience and is currently responsible for co-managing the firm’s Global Impact Bond Fund.
The pair will lead the MIF in line with its current strategy, operating the fund as a diversified portfolio of income-generating stocks and bonds, focusing on sustainable dividend growth within EdenTree’s responsible investment framework.
Charlie Thomas, chief investment officer, EdenTree, said the changes “represent a key growth milestone for EdenTree.
“Following an uplift in assets across his core strategies, Chris will now focus on the European equities franchise of our business. We’re only able to do this because of the quality of our fund management bench. Gregory and Michael are both experienced managers with excellent track records, and we’re excited to see them lead the Managed Income Fund into its next chapter of growth.”
