Keyridge Asset Management has announced the launch of the Keyridge Systematic Core Global Equity Fund, an Irish-registered UCITS fund available to UK investors.
The fund seeks to provide investors with a total return, taking into account both capital returns and income, by pursuing long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in equity securities.
Investors often face a trade-off between passive strategies, which provide broad, transparent market exposure but track a benchmark, and traditional active management, which seeks outperformance but can involve greater cost and active risk.
The Systematic Core Global Equity Fund seeks to bridge that gap by applying active investment insights systematically while controlling deviations from the benchmark.
The fund uses a systematic investment process developed by Keyridge’s investment team to apply fundamental analysis consistently across 1,800 companies.
Companies are assessed across factors spanning value, growth, quality and momentum, including measures of valuation, earnings growth and quality, cash generation and changes in market expectations.
The model uses this data to score and compare companies consistently, combining the factors so that no single investment style dominates.
Factor weights adjust mechanically as the degree of differentiation between companies changes, allowing the strategy to respond to changing market conditions without relying on discretionary calls about which investment style will outperform.
The resulting portfolio is broadly diversified, with controls around tracking error, sector and country exposure, individual positions and liquidity. Performance is monitored relative to the MSCI World Index, although the fund does not intend to track it.
Most investments are expected to be in developed markets, with emerging market exposure not expected to exceed 10% of net asset value.
Alan Duffy, Head of Systematic Investment at Keyridge, said: “This fund combines the most advantageous aspects of passive and traditional active strategies.
“Rather than relying on a small number of big investment calls, we make many smaller, repeatable decisions across the investment universe, seeking incremental returns while controlling the unintended risks that can make traditional active performance less predictable.”
Rob Williams, Chief Commercial Officer at Keyridge, said: “Our mission at Keyridge is to offer clients valuable investment solutions that meet their evolving needs.
“Designed as a core global equity allocation, the fund offers a style-neutral strategy that complements portfolios with geographic, thematic or stylistic tilts. Keyridge has managed systematic strategies for clients for nearly three decades, so we’re pleased to make this long-established investment approach available to UK investors through a UCITS fund structure.”
