Go Paraplanning, the outsourced paraplanning firm set up by Kim Bendall and partner Ralph Sanders in autumn 2020, has expanded, taking on its first paraplanner member of staff.
Vicki Hardy (pictured) joins from financial planning firm boosst and has been brought in as Go Paraplanning has grown from its original six clients to 14.
Kim says: “I am delighted how Go Paraplanning has really taken off in such a short space of time. We’ve been lucky to have been receiving referrals from our own clients, through word of mouth and from other paraplanners.
“I’m delighted that Vicki has joined us as she has a similar background to me, bringing not just paraplanning experience but also she has been a financial planner and taken on other roles within small businesses, as you do. It means we are already on the same page whilst also bringing new ideas to the table.
“It’s important to me that we remain what I call ‘small and beautiful’ as a company so that we can develop really good, long-term relationships with our clients and can maintain the high quality of our work.”
Vicki says: “It’s been lovely to join Kim at Go Paraplanning and I am thrilled to be able to support her as the company is growing.”
Kim says use of technology during the pandemic has given the interaction with adviser clients a new dynamic. “In the past everything used to be by email or telephone. Now everyone is used to video conferencing we are able to have virtual face-to-face conversations with advisers and better still, we have been able to be included on team meetings. We very much feel like we are part of the business rather than outsourced service and that is how I would like our relationship with our clients to be.”
Vicki joined the firm in June and Kim says that on current growth rates she will be looking for another paraplanner to join the business in the next six months or so.
Both Kim and Vicki are Fellows of the PFS and hold the Certified Financial Planner license
from the CISI, among other qualifications.
The firm offers a range of services including paraplanning, due diligence, practice management, administration including help in meeting PROD requirements and completing GABRIEL returns, training and consultancy.
