A date for aspiring adviser diaries! If you’re currently a paraplanner or trainee adviser, our Future Adviser event is coming to Manchester on 20th May 2026.
Following the success of last year’s debut Future Adviser event in London, we are going on the road. We are Manchester bound and very much looking forward to delivering a fantastic programme to paraplanners of the North that aspire to move into client facing advice.
Paraplanners in attendance of our London-based Future Adviser event gave us some amazing feedback noting that the sessions were very inspiring, thought‑provoking, emotive and incredibly useful. They said the day was full of “practical tips you never hear about in the day job.”
Many attendees said it was one of the first times they’d been to an event where they were able to openly discuss the realities of transitioning into advice. The nerves, the excitement, the unknowns and a room full of people to chat these things through with, who understood exactly where they were coming from.
This May, with thanks to Utmost for supporting, Future Adviser will provide another opportunity for paraplanners / trainee advisers to explore their next steps in the career trajectory.
Our Manchester programme has been put together to blend insight and skills development along with some honest conversation, covering the areas aspiring advisers have told us matter most:
- Personal growth beyond the exam track, including how to shape a fulfilling career in advice.
- Building clients and creating opportunities without feeling like you need to become someone else.
- Soft skills that make the biggest difference, listening well, asking better questions and being heard in the room.
- Speaking with confidence, whether it’s a client meeting or in networking.
- Hearing from someone that has made the leap and is able to share the stuff they wish they’d known sooner.
Attendees from our previous event highlighted how refreshing it was to learn from speakers who had “been through the planning journey,” including younger advisers and female voices who made the path feel more relatable.
Others valued the open‑forum discussions where people shared their challenges, and that it was good to realise they weren’t the only ones feeling that way.
Much like our London event, this event aims to be educational and informative, to fully support individuals in every way we can where they are looking to take steps towards client facing advice.
