We are delighted to welcome three new speakers and returning favourites at our Team Leader Seminar on 13 November.
We are joined by Nick Bird, MSB Executive, who spoke recently at our sold-out Future Adviser event. He will be posing the question – ‘What does it take to wear the shirt?’ How do you build an inclusive, positive team culture that delivers time and time again?
Hayley Mitchell, CEO of Human Edge Development, will be delving into the neuro-psychology of leaders and teams and how we can have greater insight and build greater confidence in ourselves as team leaders and use that to better understand our teams. She will explore how self-awareness, emotional agility and subconscious belief systems drive real-world performance. Expect practical insights, personal breakthroughs, and a renewed sense of what’s possible for you and your team.
Aleksandra Sasin, founder of outsourced paraplanning firm Navigatus – winner of the 2025 Paraplanner Team of the Year award – will talk to first hand experience of the complexity of heading up a paraplanning team and will share practical strategies for prioritisation, protecting focus time, building team capacity, and setting expectations so the role stays sustainable.
We’re also delighted to welcome back, Pav Khela, Head of GPS Distribution Service and Support Fidelity International, whose session entitled Followership & Leadership, will break down what these mean and why and how they are important in leading a great team.
Also returning by popular demand is Carlos Gimenez, from the Department of Continuing Education, Oxford University. He will be tackling ‘How to design and achieve Objectives’ – a practical session to help you and your team achieve your goals despite the obstacles that will arise, and provide some insightful pointers when planning your goals for 2026.
And, we will be running our peer-to-peer sessions, where we tackle some of the issues you say are giving you the most trouble. This time around, we are doing it slightly differently.
This is must-attend event whether you are an experienced team leader or new to the role, whether you have training and support or have been thrown in the deep end and told to swim.
Our thanks to Fidelity International for once again hosting the event at their 4 Cannon Street office in London.
We look forward to seeing you there.
