Hayley Rabbets to lead Evergreen by Calton

4 February 2026

Industry powerhouse Hayley Rabbets is to lead a new initiative with financial planning group Calton. The group’s CEO Tom Ham, says, “Hayley is a visionary leader with a proven record of making change in the profession”.

The Evergreen pathway is a groundbreaking new professional opportunity for advisers at all stages of their careers. Evergreen is an ecosystem that supports the full lifecycle of financial planners and their client relationships.

Hayley, who was named Woman of the Year – Advice Support Services at the Women in Financial Advice Awards in 2025, has a vision for making financial services fundamentally better – one that aligns with that of Calton CEO Tom Ham. They will launch Evergreen as a new offering within Calton. Their mission is to support more advisers in providing a truly client-centric approach, allowing them to focus on the most rewarding aspect of their work, helping clients.

Hayley says, “Working closely with planners for many years, I have a good understanding of what they want and need from support services: transparency, trust, fair terms and pricing, support, and above all, community. Most want to spend their time helping clients identify and achieve their goals, and the Evergreen proposition will provide them with everything they need to do just that.

In my experience of bringing new talent into the profession, the barriers don’t disappear when people achieve their qualifications. It’s amazing to see the diversity we have coming through the door, and it’s imperative that we don’t lose talent due to lack of opportunity. The ambition we have with Evergreen is to fix those pathways; provide an easier route in, support business growth and make sure people are thinking about succession planning much earlier.

I’ve been in a reflective period of my career, thinking about what I could do to better support the profession, in a more impactful way. Knowing Tom and the Calton team as I do, I have absolutely no doubt that this is the right place to bring Evergreen to life, making it the home for forward-thinking planners to enjoy a long and successful career, ensuring clients are always front and centre.”

Tom says, “Hayley is a visionary leader with a proven record of making change in the profession. While this kind of initiative has been planned since Calton’s beginning, the totality and sustainability of the Evergreen concept is especially powerful. Hayley is the person to build it and the time is now.

Evergreen by Calton offers a home for like-minded planners who want to be part of a supportive community, benefit from a streamlined proposition using modern technology and, most importantly, put client experience foremost. This is the start of a movement that will bring excellent financial planning to more people in a firm that supports planners and clients on every step of the way.”

The Evergreen Innovation

The Evergreen cycle supports self-employed advisers to grow their business by providing cutting-edge technology, transparent processes, and a training and mentoring community. Over time, as emerging businesses mature and planners start to think about exit, succession planning options become available within the Calton stable.

An academy for new entrants to the profession closes the circle: it will support new planners through qualification to CAS status, helping to forge new pathways into the profession and guide new planners into either employed or self-employed roles. As such, the pathway contains the full lifecycle for planners and offers a consistent environment for their clients – evergreen for everyone.
