Defaqto publishes 2021 DFM market update
18 April 2021
Defaqto has published its CPD accredited, DFM market update 2021 in partnership with Close Brothers Asset Management.
The financial information, ratings and fintech business, said the DFM market update is designed to help advisers keep up-to-date with the evolving DFM market, as well as clarifying “what ‘good’ looks like in terms of quality and suitability”.
With investment choice growing and regulatory demands, particularly around what constitutes good due diligence, increasing, Defaqto said the update provided “the tools required to establish a consistent and robust method of DFM selection”.
Pan Andreas, head of Insight & Consulting (Funds & DFM) at Defaqto added: “The last market DFM market overview we published was back in 2016. When it comes to what ‘good’ looks like a key difference between then and now is the amount of information available for advisers.
“This CPD accredited publication provides an in-depth overview covering many market trends including propositions, performance, Risk Ratings, service and ESG.
“Many advisers acknowledge that their clients’ best interests can be served by employing investment specialists, whether they be fund managers or discretionary portfolio managers, rather than managing client portfolios themselves.
“Our DFM market overview will enable advisers to establish a consistent and robust method of DFM selection (and review), with an improved understanding of what information is available in the market and what questions to ask to strengthen due diligence.”
