Be a winner in the Paraplanner Awards 2020

We are currently taking entries for the professional Paraplanner Awards 2020.

Pictured is the winner of  last year’s Paraplanner of the Year (Outsourced) award, Alexandra Sasin, founder and chief paraplanner, Navigatus. Presenting the awards is Patrick Ingram of Parmenion. We are delighted that Parmenion is the sponsor of the Professional Paraplanner’s 2020 Awards.

An email with a link to the nomination and entry form was sent to you on 12 April. Deadline for nominations and receipt of entries has been extended to 30 April.

There are four specific Paraplanner Awards which paraplanners can enter:
• Paraplanner of the Year (in-house)
• Paraplanning Team of the Year
• Paraplanner of the Year (outsourced)
• New Paraplanner of the Year
You can also nominate the administrator that has gone above and beyond
 Administrator of the Year; and
• Personality of the Year award.

Here’s what’s involved:

  • The Paraplanner of the Year Award

The award is open to paraplanners working in-house for financial planning/advice/discretionary firms. Entry is by self-nomination. You will need to write an essay (max 500 words) on a set topic, which will be sent to you. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a short interview.

  • Paraplanning Team of the Year

The award is open to all paraplanner teams. Entry is by self-nomination. You will be asked to write an essay (max 500 words) on a set topic, which will be sent to you. A representative from each shortlisted team will be contacted for a short telephone interview.

  • Outsourced Paraplanner of the Year

The award is open to outsourced and freelance paraplanners. Entry is by self-nomination. You will need to write an essay (max 500 words) on a set topic, which will be sent to you Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a short interview.

  • New Paraplanner of the Year

The award is open to those who have been in a paraplanning role for less than two years. Entry is by self-nomination. You will need to write an essay (max 500 words) on a set topic, which will be sent to you. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a short interview.

  • Administrator of the Year

For this award we want paraplanners to nominate the administrator who has gone above and beyond in supporting them this year. You will be asked to say why you believe the administrator deserves the award. Shortlisted candidates may be required to write a short statement supporting their nomination.

  • Personality of the Year

This award is your opportunity to nominate the industry figure you feel has had the most positive impact on the paraplanning profession and/or community over the past year.

Closing date for entries has been extended to Thursday 30 April 2020.

We ask you also to take part in the Provider Awards.

For each of these categories, we want you to nominate the company you believe has best delivered for you as a paraplanner over the past year.

We encourage you to add a comment where you want to provide further information on why this company stands out for you.

Please nominate in as many categories as you can – even where you may not wish to comment.
