PFS Sustainable Finance Committee members Clem Chatelin and paraplanner Rebecca Kowalski have spearheaded a new sustainable conference, Goodstock, supported by NextGen Planners.
The all day event takes place on 19 September in Edinburgh’s Dynamic Earth museum.
“The overall theme is acknowledgement of the urgency of greening finance and financing green and ways in which we in the financial planning profession can support each other in being ready to do more or do something, when the green light says go,” Rebecca says.
“We have speakers and panellists from within and without finance who are already pioneering sustainable finance solutions or calling on finance to help them deliver a low carbon economy and resilient way of life.”
The fact that the event is taking place in Edinburgh, “where it so plain to see how even a modern, thriving city is bordered by volcanic rocks and rising seas and needs to be mindful of its environment”, brings home the reality of the potential future we face, Rebecca says.
Tickets are priced at £30, with all proceeds going to local community regenerative farm -Lauriston Farm.
