Pictet launches ReGeneration global equity fund

1 March 2023

Pictet Asset Management has launched the Pictet -ReGeneration as part of the expansion of its US$62bn thematic franchise.

The concentrated global equity fund investis in companies aiding the transition to a regenerative economy.

Gabriel Micheli, senior investment manager for the fund explains that with biodiversity in rapid decline, largely caused by over-consumption of the world’s natural resources, “we believe investors have an important role to play in supporting companies that help regenerate ecosystems and create more resilient societies.”

The fund targets companies that are helping to reduce and create more sustainable consumption of natural resources. This includes repurposing products or extending their useful lives, providing services to develop a more circular economy and producing more renewable resources.

The fund will also allocate capital towards companies facilitating greater social and economic inclusion, empowering more people to be part of the transition to a regenerative economy.

The trend towards a regenerative economy is unavoidable, and companies that contribute the most to the transition will benefit from superior growth over time. In addition to targeting an attractive return, the team will engage with companies to encourage more sustainable business models and practices.

Pictet-ReGeneration is a Luxembourg domiciled UCITS fund, available in the UK. It is managed out of Geneva by Gabriel Micheli, Claire Chamberlin, investment manager and Viktoras Kulionis, investment manager and senior environmental economist.
