Paraplanner Report 2023: Theme 1: Paraplanners’ value

7 October 2023

Watch the discussion amongst our panellists on the main themes from this year’s Paraplanner Report, in association with Scottish Widows.

Earlier this year, Professional Paraplanner’s parent company, Research in Finance, conducted another of our regular research studies into the paraplanning community. We did this for the second year running in association with Scottish Widows.

The report, entitled The Connected Paraplanner, is available via the Scottish Widows website HERE.

Alongside the report Professional Paraplanner brought together a panel of industry practitioners to talk to four of the key themes from the report.

We have sliced the webinar into four, to make each theme more accessible, and we will be publishing a webinar a day on each theme from Monday to Thursday of this week, as well as the full webinar on Friday.

The panellists taking part were: Sian Davies Cole, director of Plan Works, Alan Gow, director of Argonaut Paraplanning, Jamie Drewett, Head of Intermediary Sales, Scottish Widows and Professional Paraplanner editor Rob Kingsbury.

You can watch the discussion on the first theme, Paraplanners as a key value driver within advice firms, by clicking on the video below.

Over the next three days we will be looking at:
• What paraplanners want from their tech?
• Challenges and opportunities for paraplanners highlighted by the survey
• How paraplanners feel about platform engagement?
