Marloo announces integration with Morningstar

2 September 2026

AI platform Marloo has announced a partnership with Morningstar, which will allow advisers to access its broad fund research database.

Using Morningstar’s data covering its universe of funds and 1,500 model portfolio solutions, clients can access fund information including performance and risk, portfolio weightings and sector exposures in an investor-specific context.

Marloo said this will enable detailed, like-for-like fund comparisons and help advisers make investment recommendations based on individual client requirements.

Advisers will be able to conduct fund research and compile reporting in a client-ready format without leaving the platform, which Marloo said would reduce manual administration and improve efficiency.

In addition, the platform’s ‘Ask Marloo’ chatbot can be used by advisers to submit queries from wherever they are on the platform, removing the need for a separate workflow.

As an example, Marloo said advisers can ask for the 1-, 3-, 5- and 10-year annualised performance for every fund a specific client holds and for it to be compared against their chosen risk profile and target asset allocation. They can then instruct Marloo to drop that analysis straight into a client report.

Marloo said the partnership reflects growing demand for greater integration of an adviser’s core functions, including access to proprietary investment content, within a single AI-enabled platform.

Hardy Michel, co-founder of Marloo, said: “Since coming to market, we have had a singular focus on helping advisers strengthen their client relationships and improve the service they provide by reducing time spent on manual administrative tasks.

“This latest enhancement brings fund research and reporting directly into the Marloo workflow, removing the need to move between separate systems. The addition of Morningstar’s research and data marks a significant development in the investment research capabilities we can offer our adviser customers.”

Steven Berger, director of product management at Morningstar, added: “As firms build the next generation of AI-driven products and services, powering those experiences with trusted investment content is non-negotiable. Our agreement with Marloo demonstrates how Morningstar’s AI-ready data and research can be seamlessly woven into existing adviser workflows, helping advisers get the information they need faster to better serve their clients.”
