Wealth Wizards has announced the appointment of Ben Hampton as chief executive from 1 January 2023. At that time the founder and current chief executive, Andrew Firth, will continue as Chairman.

Hampton joined Wealth Wizards as chief product officer in February 2022 from abrdn, where he led its digital retirement advice business. Andrew Firth said since joining the firm Hampton had made “a huge impact”.

“His market knowledge is exceptional, and his commitment to the future of digital advice and guidance is infectious. Ben has transformed our product strategy and has been pivotal in bringing new clients on board with our technology.”

Hampton said: “It is a privilege to be appointed chief executive and to be asked to lead such a driven and talented team at a pivotal time in the development of Wealth Wizards, and also for the financial services industry.

“Customers need access to affordable financial advice now more than ever and I’m passionate about the difference advice and innovative forms of guidance can make. I have seen first-hand the power of our technology in delivering real change for customers and I am excited at the potential we have to make an even bigger, positive impact.”

Wealth Wizards was founded in 2009 to take on the challenge of automating financial advice for the digital age. Its founding purpose is to make financial advice affordable and accessible to everyone and its financial advice technology is used by wealth management, tier-1 banks, pension providers and large insurers in the UK.
