The Verve Group has launched its 2022 Awards, spotlighting innovation in financial services.
The Verve Awards highlight “the good in financial services, shining a spotlight on the work done to improve the industry for all”, the group says.
Nominations opened on 26 April and will remain open for submission until 31 May.
Verve is introducing a new category this year, The Emerging Award, to recognise an outstanding new entrant to the industry who inspires others with their progression, as well as regularly contributing to projects that add value and innovation to the profession.
The other categories are: The Thrive Award, The Attraction Award, The Innovation Award and The Verve Award. All the categories require inspirational stories about people in the industry that are making a difference. Not only to those they work with, but to financial services as a whole. No self-nominations are allowed, but nominations can be made for others from your business.
The inaugural awards last year identified a number of outstanding individual, such as Benjamin Beck for his Financial Adviser Mentorship group. Benjamin was awarded The Attraction Award 2021 for his tireless pro bono work in helping new entrants to the industry, spending his free time providing exam support, careers advice and individual mentorship. His building of a like-minded community and sharing of knowledge to attract and retain new talent to financial services cemented the judges’ final decision.
The winner of The Verve Award 2021, Charlotte Wood from Rosewood Financial Planning regularly goes above and beyond to change the face of finance. She created a supportive peer to peer network where women can encourage, support and celebrate each other while also providing the opportunity to receive mentor advice and participate in open dialogue across the industry to encourage best practice and inclusivity. Charlotte was described as an ambassador for positive change, more of which is required in financial services.

The winners of The Verve Awards 2022 will be announced at Verve’s Evolution conference on 27 September..
