The Personal Finance Society has appointed two board members, Carla Brown and Daniel Williams.
These are interim appointments, requiring ratification at the PFS annual general meeting in September 2023.
The PFS currently has an interim president, Anthony Ward, while Don MacIntyre remains CEO.
Carla Brown is managing director of Oakmere Wealth Management, founded in 2011, and director of CL Wills and Estate Planning and was PFS Chartered Financial Planner of the Year 2021-22.
Daniel Williams is a financial adviser at Morgan Williams and Co., based near Hull, Yorkshire. Daniel was awarded PFS education champion of the year in 2022.
Ward said the PFS was in the process of identifying further directors, alongside others to be appointed by the CII.
The professional body will also be seeking an independent chair.
The appointments follow a series of resignations from the PFS board following the CII stating it would appoint a majority of directors to the PFS Board, with the decision to appoint three Institute Directors to the board with immediate effect.
