Transact upgrades API to boost adviser software integrations

4 June 2026

Transact has upgraded its API capabilities, designed to improve how the platform connects with advisers’ financial planning software, including customer relationship management systems.

Transact said the new framework will deliver a “simpler set up process” for advisers, delivering up-to-date and reliable data directly into advisers’ systems and helping to strengthen integrations.

The firm said the development supports firms with CRMled workflows and increasingly digital advice journeys with online authorisation.

Advisers already using the platform can open accounts through their preferred CRM or planning software, track transactions, valuations and reconcile remuneration.

The latest updates will expand those capabilities further, with new features including wrapper status information and over time, the introduction of transaction categorisation

Transact said planned improvements will also include improved access to documents that support client reviews; costs and charges data; the execution of instructions; and the ability to manage models and rebalance portfolios through DIM’s own software.

It called the development an “important part” of its long-term plan to support digitalisation across the advice sector.

Tom Dunbar, CEO of Transact, said: “We have made a significant strategic investment in this programme, with a dedicated team focused on improving our API capabilities.

“The aim is to help advisers and firms access data more easily within the systems they already use, while reducing manual processes and improving consistency across workflows. We see this as an important part of our longer-term vision to support digitalisation across the advice sector.”
