Martin Tilley joins Hurley Partners as Pension Director
24 January 2019
Martin Tilley has joined Hurley Partners as Pension Director. His role will focus on developing advisory and trustee relationships with both existing and new SSAS clients.
Martin was previously director of Technical Services at Dentons Pension Management, where he had over 30 years’ service.
He will be working closely with the firm’s other pension specialists and particularly with Jerry Rixon, one of the founders of Hurley Partners.
Commenting on the appointment Rixon said: “Martin is one of the country’s top pensions experts and bringing him to Hurley Partners adds tremendous strength and pedigree to our well-established team. I am looking forward to working with him and introducing him to our clients. The SSAS market remains very strong particularly as these schemes have the potential of being one of the most tax-efficient vehicles available in family (and family business) wealth planning”.
As at 31st December 2018, Hurley Partners managed around 170 SSASs and 150 SIPPs.
Martin wrote regularly for Professional Paraplanner whilst at Dentons. He is succeeded in his writing duties by Stephen McPhillips, technical sales director, who writes on SSAS in our February 2019 issue, which is out on 31 January.
