Rice Whatmough Crozier LLP launched in 2010 following a management buyout from the professional services firm Deloitte.

The Partners continue the same core values that have guided them over the many years that they have been advising clients. With almost 60 years’ experience of working with private clients and professional trustees, each Partner is professionally accredited and technically qualified in all aspects of investment, pension, and taxation matters, collectively.

The Role

The position would suit an experienced individual who would be required to analyse clients’ needs to the highest level and write client reports. The position requires good technical knowledge in Pension Switching and Transfers, investment portfolios, and an awareness of financial markets. The role also involves attending Investment and Pension Committees together with managing, developing, and training a Technical Team within the business.

The role is challenging, requiring someone who can interact directly with the Partners and staff and provide first class financial advice support to the firm’s advisors.

Main point of contact and support to all Partners regarding the firm’s clients personal financial planning needs.

Experience in using a wide range of software tools, research practices and processes of analysis to create financial plans.

Taking the lead in developing a close and trust-based relationship with the Partners, members of the inhouse team and clients. Development of relationships with third party providers and fund management firms is also a key part of this role.

Providing the firm with a “Planning Champion” role and supporting technical colleagues with all aspects of their own personal development needs.

About you

The role requires the individual to be currently QCF Level 4 qualified in Personal Financial Planning with QCF Level 6 underway (support in achieving this level will be provided if required).

Excellent organisational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritise work;

Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills;

Experience of working with Partners/Directors in a highly professional regulated area is essential;

A flexible approach to work;

Experience in creating client Financial Planning Reports to the highest possible standards.

It is also important that the Senior Associate can make requirements known in a friendly and collaborative way. Good communication skills are not just about listening and speaking but also having the ability to produce clear, accurate, concise, and timely written documents that a client can easily understand and find helpful both now and at any time in the future.
  • Influencing – The ability to influence decision making at all levels and to offer options and alternative ideas to achieve ideal outcomes. The candidate must also have the ability to deal appropriately with highly professional and influential clients helping them to recognise their own financial position and assisting them in developing appropriate solutions to any recognised needs.
