London Wall Partners are searching for talented, driven candidates looking to further their existing career as paraplanners in client advice, in a fast-growing and unique whole market advisory firm. This exciting sector of financial services offers a rewarding career combining the soft skill set of client relationship management, a logical and analytical mindset required for investment advice and financial planning and the organisational nous to help run an investor relations team. The successful applicant’s primary focus would be aiding the firm’s Client Advisers in delivering a high quality, independent financial advice service to clients, encompassing investment management, pensions, trusts and estate planning. They would be expected to work alongside a Client Adviser and Director and help them to manage the adviser team, client deliverables and internal reporting. Furthermore, they would be expected to gain an understanding of and adhere to the ethos, culture and mission of London Wall Partners. The firm offers comprehensive academic and on-the-job training to develop the talent and knowledge of its staff as they work to become qualified financial planners and long-term members of the team.


• RDR-compliant base qualification (CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent) is required
• Further qualification (CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent) is welcomed
• Comprehensive knowledge of:

o Financial services, regulations and ethics
o Investment principles and risk
o Securities and derivatives investments
o Personal taxation
o Pensions and retirement planning
o Financial protection and planning

Specific Tasks / Responsibilities

• Assisting Client Adviser

o Building client relationships, deputising for Director or Client Adviser as required
o Attending meetings with clients and prospective clients
o Minute taking and managing resulting actions for client and prospect meetings
o Responding to client enquiries
o Drafting and reviewing client reports
o Drafting and reviewing other client advice
o Ensuring client-related workstreams are completed on time, helping to manage a team of Assistant Financial Planners and reporting progress and issues appropriately
o Assisting with client prospecting and client research

• Giving training to other Associates or Assistant Financial Planners on areas of expertise
• Completing training following a structured learning and exam programme to attain Chartered Financial Planner status
• Acquiring knowledge of business procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance by adhering to company procedures
