Heading up the CPD accredited seminar will be Fidelity International’s James Bird, a popular speaker at our events.

James’ presentation – The Age of Empires; rebuilding in a diverging world – will embark on an exploration of the big economic cycle. It will identify recent changes in the world order, particularly in response to globalisation, technological advancement, and shifting political alliances. These factors are reshaping market conditions, creating both challenges and opportunities for investors. And it will look at the effects a diverging world has on asset classes like fixed income and equities, highlighting the strategies that we believe can enhance investment portfolios in this evolving environment.

Also confirmed to present is Baillie Gifford’s Qian Zhang, who will deliver a thematic view of Asia Pacific notably, when investing in China – a topic that is likely to dominate the press as Donald Trump retakes the Presidency of the US.

The extended agenda will provide insights into key areas of the investment markets and use of different investments within financial planning, focussing on accumulation and decumulation strategies, as well as tax advantageous investments, which have taken on greater significance since the Autumn Budget.

The seminar will be in-person and will be must-attend event for all paraplanners sitting on their firms’ Investment Committees or who are involved in researching and recommending investments for client portfolios, MPS, CIPs and CRPs.

Trainee advisers are also welcome to attend this Seminar.

Those taking investment exams will find this day very valuable.

The event takes place at the ETC Venues, Fenchurch Street, London. Starting at 9am and expected to finish at 3pm, with lunch provided.
