CISI mentoring programme backed by Schroders
28 January 2019
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) recently launched Financial Planning Mentoring scheme has been backed by global investment manager Schroders, which has pledged its support for a new helpline for scheme mentees and mentors.
The helpline is designed to answer a range of questions from participants covering investment dealing, platforms, business consolidation and human resources-related issues.
The CISI scheme began on 1 January 2019, with certified financial planners providing help and support for those looking for guidance in achieving their professional goals. Mentees must be members of both the CISI and its Financial Planning Forum.
Jacqueline Lockie, CISI head of financial planning (pictured), said: “We are delighted that Schroders has wholeheartedly backed this initiative to help us support and grow the financial planning profession for the public benefit.
“By offering to provide those on the mentoring scheme with specialist help that might otherwise be hard or time-consuming to find, Schroders offers a tangible benefit for those taking the time to participate in the scheme and grow the profession.”
