Cathi Harrison to speak on Suitability Report writing at Technical Insight Seminars
8 May 2018
Following the success of the first of this year’s Professional Paraplanner Technical Insight Seminars, held in Exeter, we are delighted to announce that Cathi Harrison, founder of Para-Sols and newly launched compliance firm Apricity, will be leading focussed Suitability Report workshops at our Norwich seminar on 23 May.
Cathi will be providing insight into how Para-Sols tackles suitability report writing for its clients – currently the firm serves over 110 clients – looking at key issues like length of reports, what they include and what they don’t, what’s needed for compliance purposes, reviews and more. A Q&A session will enable attendees to have their questions answered as part of the workshop.
This insight into the work of one of the industry’s most successful outsourcing firm’s will be informative for paraplanners at all stages of the paraplanning journey.
Cathi will also look at the new wave of compliance thinking and what that will mean for financial planning and paraplanners.
The Exeter Technical Insight Seminar saw over 40 delegates gather for sessions on suitability report writing, use of platforms, pensions technical issues, due diligence on DFMs, and behavioural finance and intergenerational planning.
Comments from paraplanners attending the Exeter event:
“This was the best event I have attended in terms of the relevance of the content.”
“The content being aimed at the paraplanners rather than just sales pitches for the companies which is what happens at most events. Well done!”
“It was an excellent event with some excellent speakers, I was particularly impressed with the presentations from Rory (Percival) & Paul (Squirrell) and learned a lot. You offer such a valuable service with these seminars and I wish you continued success with them. I look forward to attending more in the future.”
“It was great to attend WoodburyPark Hotel and Golf Club yesterday for the Professional Paraplanner event. Thank you for some really insightful presentations and for organising such a great event.”
If you haven’t registered for an event as yet, there are still some places available. For Norwich we may also be able to accommodate senior administrators looking to become paraplanners in the near future – if you have anyone fitting that description in your team please share this with them.
